Why won't the stream work?
It may seem daft, but we often recieve emails from people who realise after getting in touch they had forgotten to plug in their speakers, turn them up or they had headphones plugged in. Try playing another sound file on your computer. If it doesn't work then it may be a problem with your speakers. Try checking they're plugged in at a power source and into the audio out port on your computer then turn it up and check headphones aren't plugged in.
Is your Windows Media Player working?
Check that you have windows media player 9 or above installed and working. To determine which version of Windows Media playeryou currently have, simply click on the help tab on your Windows Media player, then select ‘About Windows Media Player’ and this should show which version you are using.
Why does the stream keep buffering and/or stop playing?
Please check your connection speed to the Internet at www.speedtest.net - if this is lower than 256kbps you will find the stream will buffer, keep stopping or is very slow to load as often the speed of our content is much faster than your connection is capable of handling.
I have checked my connection speed and am still encountering problems, what next?
Sometimes, the stream may stop working for an unknown reason or if Windows Media Player tries to load or play another piece of Media. If it continually buffers and you are on a fast connection, try refreshing the stream by closing your Media Player and starting it again. Also, close any other applications running on your system that are not needed as these maybe causing your CPU to lag.
If, after these steps, the stream doesn't work, try refreshing the homepage and click on the listen icon again.
Why can't I still hear anything?
If media player connects and starts playing but you hear no audio you should check the volume on your media player is turned up. If this doesn't resolve the problem go to your control panel, sounds and audio devices and check that your sound playback device is set to the correct sound card. You should also check the sound volume options and make sure your sound card is faded up and not muted.
Can I listen using a Mac?
Mac users will need to download Windows Media Player for Macs. This is also available from the Microsoft website by clicking the link below;
